Goats

Sustainable Food Source

Start Farming NOw...

WITH Goats!

Goats have been a proven commodity for thousands of years on homesteads and farms alike. Goats provide milk, meat, and loads of enjoyment!

Their God-given ability to forage brush and weeds as a food source enhances their sustainability by cutting down on the amount of feed you have to supplement.

Goats excel at removing invasive species of plants, keep the brush pushed back, and the weeds mowed down. Added benefit from a food source on the farm!

For these reasons and more, we encourage you to #StartFarmingNow with goats!

Meet VENA

Vena was our first Nigerian Dwarf Goat on Humble Shack Farm.

We selected this breed for more than their cuteness!

Nigerian Goats are smaller than other breeds making them easy to handle. This enabled our children to get involved right way as we started farming.

These goats are fabulous milkers, lactating for 10-months after kidding! Having a sustainable supply of goat milk propels us toward self-sufficiency and food security.

Nigerian Goats can do the same for you, too!
